Marc Nitard, a craftsman and the owner of Nitard's Furniture in New York City, has been serving customers in the tri-state region for 24 years. In addition to doing work for private residences and commercial spaces, Marc has done custom woodwork for New York City Museums, The Chanel Store and Restaurant Daniel on the Upper East Side as well as many other notable spaces. Before settling down in NYC, Marc, a native of France, worked for Vicente Carpentry & Ebenisterie in Paris, France. This company provided furniture, restoration and installation work for all French Consulates, Embassies and cultural service offices around the world. Through work for this company, Marc spent time in Berlin, Geneva and eventually NYC. He also worked at Merindol a wood working company in France training new employees in woodworking skills; the manufacture and installation of all carpentry for the inside of a home, example, kitchens, closets, doors, crown moldings, baseboards, parquet floors and more. In this company he specialized in the installation of all carpentry. He worked at Carpentry & Ebenisterie Garcia in France, making custom made French inspired woodwork, antique replications, and restorations. Marc received his degree in Artisanal Cabinet Making from a school (CFA) of professional wood work training in Avignon, France.
